Dum Dum Doughnuts opens in Brighton

Those of you who follow Scoffers on Instagram will be aware much I love a good doughnut, so Dum Dum Doughnuts opening in Brighton last week has got me pretty excited!

Dum Dum Doughnuts is the world’s first artisan baked doughnut brand and the fastest growing doughnut brand in the UK. The Brighton store, in Brighton Square, is the first UK store outside of London and promises to be a bit hit.

Since launching two years ago through stores in Shoreditch’s Box Park and Camden Market, Dum Dum Doughnuts has established itself as the only doughnut brand in Harrods and recently opened their first international outlet in Dubai.

The artisan doughnuts are avaiable in various sizes, from mini through to giant 8 or 10 inch ones and are baked fresh every day (not fried). Dum Dum Doughnuts use only natural ingredients and are significantly lower in fat, half the fat in some instances, than competitor brands thanks to the unique patisserie-based patented baking process used.

Dum Dum flavours include Crême Brûlée, Strawberry & Cream, Banoffee, Almond & Pistachio and the top seller, ‘The Zebra’, which contains layers of croissant dough and chocolate croissant dough, filled with chocolate buttercream and topped with chocolate ganache… 😮

Founder, Paul Hurley says, “We are really looking forward to opening our first Dum Dum Donutterie store outside London. We chose Brighton because we think the city is a great fit for our brand. Brightonians recognise good food, great quality, innovation and style. Like Brighton our doughnuts are good-looking, quirky and unique.”

Coffee at Dum Dum Donutterie will be provided by Nude Expresso, London’s leading micro-roastery based in Shoreditch, with a selection of artisan syrups made by Dum Dums chefs at the Patisserie.
